Yeah, I know. You’re all like, “New Blur song? Meh.” But what you really mean is that you’ve been hurt before; led astray by the reneged promises of new reunions; scarred by Think Tank. And so when people tell you that there’s a new Blur song, your armor’s on. You’re not buying it, both literally and figuratively. That was long ago, a past life, you think as you stir a spoonful of arsenic into your coffee and look wistfully out the window.
BELIEVE. One of the new songs, “Under The Westway” is AMAZONG (side note: this is my new fave typo). I haven’t heard the other new song they put out, because, y’know, see paragraph one, but this song is like watching “To The End”, “Yuko and Hiro” and “No Distance Left To Run” having a threesome, and then “To The End” gets pregnant and you don’t know which one’s the dad and then there’s some kind of twist at the end that you never could have seen coming. I’m bad with plots.
